Chapter 142: Third trial?

“Relax, instant killing them definitely isn’t the only way.”  Feng Xiao had a relaxed look that didn’t look puzzled at all.

“Illusory Shadow!”

Feng Xiao called out as a faint shadow flashed over him before he disappeared without a trace.

“Xiao Xiao, use your Death Arrow!”

Feng Xiao immediately followed this order as it kept firing a gray arrow at the Spiritual Wood Immortal.  Feng Xiao also had Xiao Bai charge forward and as he moved, there was a realistic shadow that appeared behind him.

“Ring of Darkness!  Ring of Death!”

A black and gray halo of light appeared around Feng Xiao.  Then he released an Ice Shattering Slash at the Spiritual Wood Immortal in front of him.  The attacks of the two sides hit each other at the same time.

Miss, miss, miss…….

As he had expected, with the help of the Illusory Shadow, the Spiritual Wood Immortals’ attacks all missed.  The Shattering Ice Slash created high red digits that were immediately covered up by the same green digits.

Feng Xiao didn’t look unhappy at all, rather he revealed a cold smile.

“If it was a normal player, passing this trial is as hard as ascending to heaven, but it’s a pity that you bumped into me!”  Ignoring the attacks of the Bamboo Thorns, Feng Xiao released another Shattering Ice Slash.

“Ah!”  Xuanyuan Wan’er’s voice came from his mind, “Big brother Feng is so strong!”

There were two black numbers that appeared above the heads of two Spiritual Wood Immortals as their HP bars emptied.  Their bodies fell to the ground in pieces and they dropped several green pills.  Feng Xiao gave a laugh before he kept using the Shattering Ice Slash.

The Xuanyuan Sword had a 3% chance of instant death, the Asura’s Illusion had a 3% chance, and the Ring of Death had a 3% chance of instant death, which made Feng Xiao’s instant death chance to normal monsters a terrifying 9%.  Then adding in his super high luck, he would be able to activate it once every six to seven attacks.  Although this chance was almost nothing when placed in front of a boss, but in front of these normal monsters, it wasn’t affected at all.

Feng Xiao usually killed normal monsters with a single slash to begin with, so the function of instant kill was hidden.  But now it was finally able to show its terrifying might.

Two red and one black, another Spiritual Wood Immortal was dead.

Seeing their master attacking the two remaining Spiritual Wood Immortals with a relaxed look, Xing Xing and Xiao Xiao both revealed bored looks.  They laid back down on Xiao Bai’s back to fall asleep.  The two small newly born lifeforms had a habit of sleeping.

Twenty seconds later, Feng Xiao, who had taken care of the Spiritual Wood Immortals waved the Xuanyuan Sword as he went forward to pick up the green pills.

Spiritual Wood Pill: High Grade Pill

A pill that condenses the life energy found in the Spiritual Wood Immortal, can restore a large amount of HP.

Feng Xiao’s eyes lit up as he quickly threw all twenty of the pills on the ground into his inventory.

A pill that could heal 50% HP that didn’t clash with the potions that were sold by the pharmacy, this pill was a life saving tool.  It was just a pity that there were so few of them.

He came to the strange shaped corpses of the Spiritual Wood Immortal and didn’t hesitate to use the “Gathering Skill”.

Spiritual Wood Seed: The seed of a Spiritual Wood Immortal plant.  Can be cultivated into a Spiritual Wood Immortal plant under certain conditions.

Feng Xiao happily threw the five life saving leaves into his inventory.  At the same time, there was a small door that appeared in front of him.

Although Feng Xiao had easily cleared the second trial, he didn’t dare relax at all as he faced the next trial.  He knew that if it wasn’t for the fact that his attacks had the rare instant death effect, he wouldn’t have passed the second trial.

With a flash of white light, the scene in front of him changed again.  The green colour became stronger and the space was much bigger, growing to around a hundred meters in length and width.  In the center of this space, there were three large trees that were around five meters tall covered in leaves.

When Feng Xiao was about to check, there was a strange looking creature covered in a black glow that suddenly appeared in front of him.

Golden Bloodsucking Mosquito: Level 35 Gold Boss

The king of poisonous bloodsucking mosquitos.  People fear its sharp stinger that will suck away all the life force of the target.

Weakness: It can’t fly too high, has a low defense, and is weak against all magic attacks.

Bloodsucking Poisonous Stinger: Absorbs a fixed 2000 HP from the target to heal itself.  Has a 20% chance of inflicting poison.

Summon Poison Mosquitos: It will summon poisonous bloodsucking mosquitos to attack.  The poisonous bloodsucking mosquitos that relentlessly attack are the nightmares of all living beings.

“Golden Bloodsucking Mosquito……Isn’t this one of the Gold Bosses at the entrance?  Why is it in the third trial?”  Feng Xiao was in a bit of disbelief because if it was two level 35 Gold Bosses, he might have a headache.  However, if it was just one, he could easily deal with it.

The Golden Bloodsucking Mosquito didn’t wait for him at all as it flapped its large wings to fly out at him.  The sounds of the mosquito wings flapping were quite uncomfortable for him.

The flying speed of this mosquito was something that Feng Xiao looked down on.  He didn’t waste any thoughts as he appeared behind the mosquito, using a Dragon Flame Slash to deal over seven thousand damage.  Xing Xing and Xiao Xiao who had been awakened by the sounds of the mosquito wings attacked with displeased looks.  After a round of attacks from the human and two beasts, the Golden Bloodsucking Mosquito that didn’t even have a chance to attack had lost half its HP.

The angry Golden Bloodsucking Mosquito quickly turned around and accurately landed a Bloodsucking Poisonous Stinger on Feng Xiao, taking two thousand HP from him.

“Damn!  Daring to take this young master’s blood!  Spit it out for this young master!  Dark Soul Eater Slash!”

The Xuanyuan Sword with a dark glow slashed the Golden Bloodsucking Mosquito’s head.  A single crit dealt 7000 damage while a green +3500 appeared above Feng Xiao’s head, recovering the HP that he had just lost.

 

Finally realizing the power of the enemy, the Golden Bloodsucking Mosquito wisely chose to retreat.  After Feng Xiao looked at it with disdain, he was about to charge after it.  The Golden Bloodsucking Mosquito suddenly turned around and flapped its transparent wing, sending out countless black spots at him.
